The rainforest of Madagascar is facing deadly threats that could ruin the beauty of the island. Their are about 3 major threats to the island. Deforestation, agriculture and Erosion. All these threats can majorly harm the island in their own way..
Deforestation
Deforestation is a main key in the destruction of the island. Humans who live on the island have been logging for years and that means trees have been cut off. If this continues trees will disappear in Madagascar. For example a lot of Alluadia trees have been chopped of for their high value for charcoal. The eastern side of Madagascar island is in danger as the hardwood in trees that are planted their are ver valuable so logger chops down the trees.
Agriculture Fires
Agriculture Fires is a decoy danger to the rainforest as it kills animals and it could dangerously kill rare plants/animals. 1/3 of the rainforest burns down due to AGRICULTURE FIRES. Each animal and plant that dies won't get us closer on being one with nature as nature is dying!
Erosion
The agriculture of the island is in danger! Per year 400 tons of soil erode. This a danger as Madagascar relies on its agriculture. The villagers relies on their soil as they farm for food. For example they use tavy to help them plant their rice fields, without tavy they wouldn't have a food source. That's why erosion is a big problem to the villagers.
